A pickup set designed to reproduce the tone of one very well-known black Stratocaster owned by David Gilmour.

A unique set of pickups for sure. It's comprised of a vintage '54 Strat alnico five heavy Formvar neck pickup with a vintage 50's stagger wound to a conservative 5.85k. The middle is a 60's style alnico five wound with 42 awg plain enamel to a sweet sounding 5.95k. And the standout of the set, the bridge is a high output alnico 2 pickup with SPN piled high to the mid 12k range. These produce a variety of tones and when combined in the 2 and 4 positions they create some real unique sounds. If you're looking at this set you probably already know the sound of "the" black Strat, we call it the "Pink Tone" set for a not too subtle reference to the band Pink Floyd. This set is for those who desire that ever so cool sound of one of the greats.

All gray bottom flatwork so it looks like they belong together as a set. Waxed cloth push back leads and vacuum potted for super quiet coils.

Crisp, clear and articulate, the neck and middle produce two separate and incredible vintage voices while the bridge wails with creamy distortion and long sustain for classic Gilmour lead work a la "Comfortably Numb".
