The Vintage alnico 2 retain all the positive properties of vintage '59 pickups but without the hard edge. The alnico two magnets provide a sweeter glassy tone and are also noticeably smoother with a mildly scooped midrange. A warm round bottom end due to the alnico two magnets make them well suited for rock, country, blues and stunning when played clean for jazz. Add a little grit and you've got text book classic rock tone producing lush creamy high sustain lead work. Output is in the high 5k range with a slightly overwound bridge for a well calibrated set.

Hand crafted using vintage style 42awg heavy Formvar magnet wire, Onamac Windery's custom formulated alnico 2 magnets in a vintage stagger, black flatwork and waxed cloth covered push-back lead wire. Assembled, hand wound, wax potted and tested using the same attention to detail we do with all our premium quality pickups.
